Banana Donut Holes
Temp 175°C
Time 10-12 min
Serves 10
Mashed ripe bananas in a quick batter, cooked in donut moulds, dusted with cinnamon sugar. Great use for overripe bananas.
Ingredients
- • ¾ cup self raising flour
- • ½ cup banana puree
- • 2 tbsp. sugar
- • ½ tsp. Cinnamon
- • 2 tbsp. vegan butter ( or coconut oil)
Instructions
- 1 The recipe is super easy. Just measure out your self rising or self raising flour. Take 1 ripe banana, overripe works well here. Peel and mash with a fork. You need 1/2 cup banana puree. Add that to self raising flour and mix well with a spoon.
- 2 It becomes a crumbly mix that becomes a sticky dough. Knead it a bit. It will be very sticky. Put some oil in your palms and form small balls and keep aside. I could make about 10 donut holes.
- 3 Preheat air fryer at 360F or 180C for 5 minutes. I used a silicone mat. You can use perforated parchment paper as well. Place your banana donut balls on the mat or paper and leave enough space as they will expand. Brush with oil or vegan butter.
- 4 Air fry at 360F or 180C for about 7-8 minutes till your banana donut holes are golden brown and cooked through.
- 5 Meanwhile take powdered sugar with some powdered cinnamon and roll the donut holes after brushing them with oil or vegan butter.
- 6 That’s it, your delicious quick air fryer banana donut holes are ready to serve. Enjoy them with a cup of tea or coffee.
- 7 You can store them for upto 3 days in the refrigerator. Heat them before eating.
