Cheese or meat ravioli coated in Italian breadcrumbs and air fried. Bite-sized pasta pockets with marinara for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 package (9 ounces) frozen beef ravioli, thawed
  • Cooking spray
  • Fresh minced basil, optional
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, warmed

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. In a shallow bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and basil. Place the flour and eggs in separate shallow bowls. Dip the ravioli in the flour to coat both sides; shake off the excess. Dip it in the eggs and then the crumb mixture, patting to help the coating adhere. Editor's Tip: If you don't have an air fryer, you can make this recipe in a deep fryer, electric skillet or on the stovetop.
  2. 2 In batches, arrange the ravioli in a single layer on the greased tray in the air-fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, about three to four minutes. Turn and spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, for three to four minutes longer. If desired, immediately sprinkle with the basil and additional Parmesan cheese. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
