Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
Temp 175°C
Time 5-6 min
Serves 8
Canned biscuit dough cut into rings, air fried, tossed in cinnamon sugar. Only 3 ingredients. Kids roll warm donuts in sugar. Fry the donut holes too!
Ingredients
- • 16 ounce package refrigerated biscuits (8 count)
- • 1 cup powdered sugar
- • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- • Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- 1 Remove the biscuits from the package and place them on a lightly floured surface. Use a small circle cookie cutter or donut cutter to cut the center out of the biscuits.
- 2 Place four biscuits in the air fryer (make sure they aren't touching) and cook at 365°F for 6 to 7 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on the outside.
- 3 Remove the first set of doughnuts from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool while you cook the remaining doughnuts.
- 4 If you'd like to cook the doughnut holes, place them in the air fryer at 365°F for 3-4 minutes.
- 5 While the doughnuts cook, combine the powdered sugar, heavy cream and vanilla in a small bowl. Allow the doughnuts to cool before dipping them in icing. Decorate with sprinkles, if desired. Serve immediately.
