Pitta Chips

Pitta triangles brushed with olive oil and seasoned. Kids cut with a pizza cutter. Try a cinnamon-sugar sweet version too.

Ingredients

  • 5 pita pockets
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2-3 teaspoons zaatar seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the pita pockets into 8-12 pieces, about 1.5-inch pieces.
  2. 2 Stir together the oil and zaatar (or salt, pepper, garlic powder). Drizzle over the pita chips and toss to coat well.
  3. 3 Heat the air fryer to 325F for at least 5 minutes. Add the pita pieces (up to 4 pitas at once; split larger batches in two). Cook for 4 minutes.
  4. 4 Gently toss or flip and continue to cook for another 3-8 minutes or until the pita pieces are golden and crispy. Serve with hummus.
